1. Introduction
Motaware LLC ("Motaware", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Motaware Mail (the "Service"). The Motaware privacy policy at motaware.com also applies to your Motaware account. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, billing information, and account preferences. We also automatically collect technical data such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, and usage patterns to maintain and improve the Service. We do not read, scan, or analyze the content of your emails for advertising or profiling purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process transactions and send billing notifications; respond to support requests; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats; and comply with legal obligations. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and service improvement.
4. Data Storage and Security
Connections to the Service are encrypted in transit with TLS, and mail to and from other providers uses TLS whenever the other server supports it. We use access controls and audit logging to protect your data. While no system is completely secure, we are committed to protecting your data using best practices.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the Service (such as payment processors), but only to the extent necessary and under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, though disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data and email content are permanently removed within 30 days. Billing records may be retained longer as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time from your account settings. You may request a complete copy of your data in a standard, machine-readable format. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. International Data Transfers
If your data is transferred to servers outside your country of residence, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending you an email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes are effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
